About Me

When we’re together, the only thing I care about is making sure your goals are met. Whether they’re strictly physical, emotional/mental, or some combo, I tune into YOU- as my only focus.

With over a decade of experience, I have a lot of “tools” under my belt. I create sessions utilizing any/all of the modalities I practice- including but not limited to deep tissue, myofascial release, aromatherapy and hot stone massage- to create an epic experience!

Massage is about trust, if nothing else. Consent and respect for every client I see is at the heart of every session. My intake process is designed to ensure I’m aware of your boundaries, and preferences, so you can feel safe and fully relax.

Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage therapy is beneficial in releasing chronic muscle tension. The focus is on the deepest layers of muscle tissue, tendons, and fascia (the protective layer surrounding muscles, bones and joints).

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a therapy that focuses on the connective tissues of the body, especially those surrounding muscle groups, layers, and those connections to bony structures. It can be used to treat skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and stimulating the stretch reflex in muscles.

Hot Stones

Hot stones are my favorite tool- they relax the feedback from the nervous system and cause everything to just melt and relax. It’s especially helpful in clients with deep chronic tension, because it hastenes the process of warming up the more superficial tissues, allowing access to deeper cranky spots in less time.

Swedish

This is the most common modality, performed with slow and rhythmic techniques. This modality focuses on the circulatory flow in the body, slowing the breath and decreasing the heart rate. Clients report feelings of deep relaxation afterward, and often fall asleep during a session.

Prenatal/Postnatal

This massage is designed with Mom in mind. The most important factor is keeping her body positioned comfortably, so bolstering is always customized. Depending on how far along she is and what her body’s needs are, we will utilize side-lying positions that support the neck, low back, and hips. Postnatal sessions require similar customization, and great attention is paid to all joints, especially the low back and hips.
